12.11.2012 The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs: Elizabeth and Chad

There is so much to say about this couple and this wedding I don’t know where to start.  We feel so lucky to have been part of this 4 day celebration.  Spending a weekend with a couple and their families celebrating brings us so much closer to our clients.  We get to know you and your story in a richer sense and we felt that way about Elizabeth and Chad.  Their wedding weekend in Colorado Springs felt like a journey and a progression and so we chose to include the days leading up to the wedding in their highlight film.  These two could not wait to get married.  Seriously- could not wait.  Thursday before the wedding was not soon enough.  They were both so excited and so ready to commit to each other.

They chose the Broadmoor Hotel as the stage for the weekend.  We could not have been more impressed with this venue.  The grounds of the hotel are absolutely breathtaking and the staff was exceptionally kind and helpful.  Mountains set the backdrop to this luxurious hotel and it is not uncommon to find deer and other wildlife roaming the area.  As the city folk that we are, we were like kids in a candy store.  We were so grateful to be able to witness and capture the beauty around us.

Lizzy and Chad’s celebration started with Mint Juleps on the lawn.  As soon as we arrived we thought we were watching a scene from the Great Gatsby. The band Whitewater Ramble was the perfect choice for entertainment.  The fun continued at the rehearsal dinner on Friday.  Guests enjoyed a delicious meal in the Penrose Room at the Broadmoor followed by a dessert party!  Who doesn’t love dessert and they had a room full of dessert and more fabulous entertainment.

And finally it was wedding day!!  Elizabeth’s lace Vera Wang was perfectly feminine.  I love how Chad switched it up with a white jacket.  They complimented each other so well.  Their energy and excitement was  infectious and the party was rocking well into the night when the glow necklaces and glasses came out to keep it going.

Congratulations you two!!  You were so fun to work with.  So happy you brought us to Colorado for your big celebration.  Enjoy your highlight!
