Meagan and Matthew’s wedding marked our first trip to Houston Texas. They were married at Meagan’s home in Washington, Texas. As you will see in their film, the family’s ranch created a gorgeous backdrop for the couple’s day and Donnie Brown Events ensured it was adorned to perfection.
The ranch is not only beautiful, but there is historical significance as well. Debates took place on the front steps as to whether or not Texas would stay in the Union. It is therefore a recorded landmark of Texas which Zeus and I just thought was the coolest thing ever. They also have the first official Texas ranger log cabin in Texas from 1826 on the property where the groomsmen got ready. There were two rangers patrolling the property that night and we learned just how bad a** Texas rangers are.
One of the highlights of the evening was when General Lee pulled up. From the Dukes of Hazzard that is. Meagan and her cowboy boots jumped right up on the hood and Oscar de la Renta never looked better.
The final surprise of the night was when the couple made their getaway in a helicopter. Sparklers lit up the field as friends and family waved goodbye from below. It was a truly memorable evening. Meagan’s spirit and joy are infectious. She positively sparkled in her Monique L’huillier gown. Thank you Meagan and Matt for allowing us to capture that magical day. Can’t wait to see you again for Big Daddy’s big birthday!!
